Lenten Midweek Services
Lent 2026: Holy Interruptions
The Parables of Jesus Reorient Our Hearts
Few of us enjoy being interrupted. We prefer routine and order. Yet Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Over time, comfort can quietly orient our hearts toward lesser treasures.
This Lent, the parables of Jesus will serve as holy interruptions—disrupting misplaced priorities and reorienting us toward the kingdom that lasts.
Pastors from the Pike’s Peak Circuit of the Rocky Mountain District (LCMS) will rotate preaching throughout Lent, with each congregation hearing the same series of parables. A schedule will be available so you may worship at a sister congregation if you miss a particular text.
Wednesdays in Lent
11:30 a.m. | Morning Prayer
with organ-led hymns from the LSB
7:15p.m. | Evening Prayer
with organ-led hymns from the LSB

Holy Cross Lutheran Church | 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Come shape Holy Week with Play-Doh and hunt Easter eggs in a hands-on family event!
Join us for our Easter Encounter on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m.–12 p.m. as we celebrate the joy of Christ’s resurrection in a creative and engaging way.
Families will journey through Holy Week by shaping key moments of the story with Play-Doh, helping children see and touch the story of Jesus’ love for them. We’ll also enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt as we rejoice together in the good news that Christ is risen!
Candy & Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for individually wrapped candy donations and helping hands to make this event a blessing to our community. Volunteers are needed for:
Set-up
Check-in
Hiding eggs
Tear-down
Please consider donating candy or your time. You can drop off donations at the Ministry Center beginning Sunday, March 1.
Let’s share the hope and joy of the resurrection in a fun, hands-on way with our community!
Online Movie Night
Forty Nights Chance
This film examines the pre-ministry life of Jesus, starting with his baptism by John the Baptist. From there, Jesus embarks on his self-exploration journey into the wilderness for 40 nights, where the Devil tempts Jesus three times in various forms. Audiences will be treated to a stronger portrayal of Jesus that offers glimpses into his childhood and family upbringing. This film portrays Jesus as a person who invokes empathy and sheds light on the true magnitude of his sacrifice for mankind.
