Alissa Bernabei Music and DCE Scholarship

Alissa was a dedicated member of Holy Cross and the Celebration Choir for over 50 years. She started singing in the choir in 1968 right after her confirmation. She was also a member of the JuBELLation Choir and the Praise Worship team for many years.

Music was always one of Alissa’s greatest joys. Her father taught her to read music at an early age and then taught her how to play the trumpet. Her parents also gave her a piano and a guitar several years later.

Some of her proudest moments were playing trumpet duets with her dad, being chosen for an exclusive brass choir, and the wind ensemble at Adams State. She also sang with Soli Deo Gloria choir for many years, as well as other smaller choirs.

Her love of music and the Lord inspired her to leave something to support this scholarship bearing her name to help others with their music degree and their passion to do the Lord’s work.

Alissa had a lifetime full of love for the Lord and music! God gave her many talents, but she was very blessed with her voice and music talents. She donated these scholarship funds, so she could help others grow in their love of the Lord and music too.
