Lenten Midweek Services

Lent 2026: Holy Interruptions

The Parables of Jesus Reorient Our Hearts

Few of us enjoy being interrupted. We prefer routine and order. Yet Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Over time, comfort can quietly orient our hearts toward lesser treasures.

This Lent, the parables of Jesus will serve as holy interruptions—disrupting misplaced priorities and reorienting us toward the kingdom that lasts.

Pastors from the Pike’s Peak Circuit of the Rocky Mountain District (LCMS) will rotate preaching throughout Lent, with each congregation hearing the same series of parables. A schedule will be available so you may worship at a sister congregation if you miss a particular text.

Wednesdays in Lent

11:30 a.m. | Morning Prayer
with organ-led hymns from the LSB
7:15p.m. | Evening Prayer
with organ-led hymns from the LSB
